Detrix is a Vitamin D supplement given in the Vitamin D deficiency.
Cholecalciferol promotes absorption and assimilationcalcium and phosphorus from food in small intestines, as well as maintaining the appropriate levelcalcium in the blood.
During pregnancy, Detrix 4000 should be taken only when it is absolutely necessary to correct vitamin D deficiency. Overdoses of vitamin D must be avoided during pregnancy, as prolonged hypercalcemia may lead to retardation of physical and mental development, supravalvular aortic stenosis and retinopathy in the child.

BREAST-FEEDING
DETRIX 4000 and its metabolites are excreted in breast milk. When prescribing additional vitamin D to a breast-fed child the health practitioner should consider the dose of any additional vitamin D given to the mother.
We recommend consulting the doctor before using the same.
Detrix is a food Supplement, and it is safe with the other medications, but we recommend consulting the doctor before taking Detrix along with the medicines.
It is recommended for human consumption over the age of 12.
As a dietary supplement, take one capsule daily or as directed by a healthcare professional. The capsule should be swallowed whole with water, preferably with the main meal of the day.
Detrix 4000 IU should not be used in infants or young children (under 12 years) as they may not be able to swallow the capsules and might choke. Instead, it is advisable to use drops or dissolvable tablets.
As such there are no reported side effects of Detrix. But we recommend to not exceed the recommended intake.
Detrix could be taken for 4 weeks and further consulted to the doctor. Also, there are no withdrawal symptoms or effects when stopped.
